How Hostinger charges
Hostinger charges the full period up front: choose 12 months and you pay all 12 today; choose 48 and you pay all 48. In return, the longer the period, the lower the monthly promo price. When it ends, the plan renews at the regular rate, which is higher than the promo one.
Why the long term usually wins
You lock the promo price for longer and renew fewer times at the regular rate.
The partner code's extra 20% applies to the period's total: the bigger the total, the more you save in money.
Several web hosting plans include a free domain for the first year when you pay 12 months or more; the cart shows whether yours does.
Rule of thumb: choose the longest term you'll actually use. If the project is stable, 48 months is usually the lowest cost per month.
When a short term makes sense
You're testing an idea and don't know if it will still be around in six months.
You expect to switch plan type soon, for example from web hosting to a VPS.
You can't pay the long period up front today.
How to compare without getting it wrong
- 01
Look at the total you pay today, not just the monthly price.
- 02
Look at the renewal price: it's what you'll pay afterwards. We show it for every plan.
- 03
Divide the total by the months in the period and compare that number across terms.
- 04
Apply the code's extra 20% to the total to see what you really pay.
